Adobe ConnectNow

If you haven't tried Adobe ConnectNow for web conferencing, I have set up a free account so you can check it out and see how it measures up against GoToMeeting and WebEx.

Note that this free ConnectNow account only allows maximum of 3 connections; for 5 or 20-person web conferencing, we'd have to upgrade to a paid account.  Monthly subscription is comparable to that of GoToMeeting and WebEx.

One big advantage Adobe ConnectNow has over its more popular competitors, GoToMeeting and WebEx is that it offers:

Personalized, Static Meeting-Room URL, like

https://na2.connectnow.acrobat.com/innowavetech01

Wait, it's not just fancy but also highly functional.  Here're a few ways a static meeting URL can uncomplicate your life:

• Scheduled Meetings
• the URL is the only thing you need to include in your meeting invitations
• Dial-in info will be displayed once you / the participant enters the room
• Ad-hoc Meetings
• Meeting rooms can be set to be Always Open so there is essentially no need to ever set up a meeting again
• Just have everyone meet at the URL aka your address and then Close the Door for privacy

Plus, Adobe ConnectNow is built on Flash, so neither you nor your guests will be subject to lengthy plugin downloads to participate in meetings

To check out Adobe Connect now, click on the Adobe ConnectNow link in the Go To column on the top right corner of this page.  You can enter the room as a Guest or as the Host with the following credentials:

Adobe ID: meetings@innowavetech.com

Password: meetings

Let me know what you think of it after you have tried it!
